Hello Bulldog Families,

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!!  ;)

With eight weeks left of school, we are beginning to find a new groove in our latest instructional model, Concurrent Hybrid Learning.  We are thinking a lot about how to engage ALL of our students when some are here 2 days a week and most are online each day.  I am delighted that our staff is focused on how to make the best of this situation and I am hearing really positive feedback from students and teachers.  Our counselors asked students to complete a survey about how they were feeling about the model and have set up some groups for those students who felt they would like to connect with their counselor.  We were happy to see that the feedback from students was very positive.  We will be doing some surveys later in the month as well that will help us in planning how we support students in the future.  Again, we want you to know that our objective is to make this work Academically, Socially, and Emotionally for ALL of our students.  We are here for them and you.  Thank you for your partnership during this time and all year as we have navigated so many changes and challenges.

Please look below for announcements from our Health/PE and Counseling Departments.

Family Heritage/Cultural Event!!

We are planning a Family Herritage/Cultural Event with the help of the AMAZING Nicole Auayan, who will be moving on to MTHS with the rest of her family next year.  Here is the flyer, as well as the links to submission forms, for the Family Heritage Program. We have a submission due date of May 21st to give us time to put it all together, and May 27th to launch. Depending on what we receive, we are hoping to have enough to span multiple days. Submissions are open to everyone who is part of the BTMS community - students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, etc. - so please share, consider submitting something, and encourage at least one other person to submit something as well.

From our Counseling Department:

Scriber Lake High Information

There is an information session for Scriber Lake High School coming up on Wednesday May 12 at 7pm via Zoom. Even if your student has already registered for a different high school next year, SLHS is an alternative high school in our district that is another option for all students. Please check out their video and see if it could be a good fit for your student:

Youth Mental Health Conference for Educators, Families, and Community Members!

May 21st and 22nd

We want to share this information with our families.  We feel this conference offers valuable information about how families can support their children in all kinds of ways.  Please check it out!

See the informational Flyer HERE.

From our Health and PE Teachers:

Here are a few reminders from the PE department:

1. We will be teaching our FLASH/KNOW Health lessons starting this month.  Check with your child's teacher  if you have questions.

2. We purchased resistance/exercise bands for each student at BTM.  If your child attends class in person, they will get one from their teacher.  If they are in cohort C they may come to school to pick one up.

3. Students will be going outside most days for PE so they need to come prepared.  Our main field is wet in the morning so extra shoes and socks are helpful.

Yearbook Update:

Yearbooks are available for pre-order through this purchasing portal from now until the end of the year!

Don't miss out on memories from the year like no other!

Check out our yearbook page to see a sneak peak inside the yearbook.

Yearbooks will be delivered and distributed within the last few weeks of school.

Thank you!
