Strong Families Sessions - TBA

WayOut Seminar for parents/caregivers - TBA

We are partnering with Cocoon House to provide WayOut seminars for our families at the district. We are so grateful to the 3 schools hosting these sessions for families. WayOut is a FREE family seminar that strengthens the relationship between a resilient teen, and their caring adult. Cocoon House has been providing these preventative services in our county for many years and having these seminars in our district again should allow for less barriers for our families.

Here are some of the topics covered during the sessions:

40 developmental assets

Values of the family and the individual

Tools on decision making

Adolescent development 101

Tools to improve communication

This is a great session for families who are struggling with the transition for adolescence, if you have a family you think would like to do this seminar give them a flier and have them call the number. There is a screening process done by Cocoon House to be sure the family would benefit from the seminar. The district will be willing to provide interpreters for these 3 sessions:
